This book explores how FromSoftware shaped and defined the Soulslike genre through its approach to worldbuilding, challenge, and storytelling. Beginning with Demon's Souls and evolving through titles such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring, the project examines the ideas and themes that established the genre and shaped its lasting legacy.

Design an editorial layout that captures the dark, atmospheric identity of the Soulslike universe while maintaining readability across image-heavy spreads and lore-driven text.
Objective
Translate the atmosphere and narrative depth of the Soulslike universe into an editorial format while balancing cinematic imagery with structured, readable typography.
Approach
A restrained typographic system and consistent grid structure provide clarity, while full-bleed imagery and cinematic spreads reinforce the scale and mood of the world. Section openers and visual pacing help transition between themes while maintaining narrative flow.
